Robert Dubose graduated from Rice University and the Harvard Law School.  Before specializing in appellate law, Robert’s practice focused on trial court litigation.

Robert is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Appellate Law.  He is a past-chair of the Appellate Section of the Houston Bar Association.  He is listed in the 2008 and 2009 editions of Texas Super Lawyers as well as The Best Lawyers in America under Appellate Law.

Robert has handled appeals regarding a variety of issues, including trial and appellate procedure, Constitutional rights, insurance coverage, personal injury, and commercial and contract disputes.  He frequently assists litigators before appeal by helping develop a legal strategy, preserve arguments for appeal, and argue the jury charge.

Since 1998, Robert has taught courses at the University Of Houston Law Center, including Appellate Advocacy and Insurance Appeals.  He is a frequent CLE speaker and writer and won the 2009 Hellen A. Cassidy Award for highest-rated presentation at the State Bar of Texas Civil Appellate Practice Course.  He also is a contributing author to non-legal publications, including Houston It’s Worth It:  Ike and the Fearless Critic Houston Restaurant Guide 2010
