Barbara B. DePeña

Barbara is a graduate of Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Texas School of Law. Before joining the firm, Barbara worked at two of Texas’s most-respected litigation boutiques, first as a trial associate and then transitioning to an appellate-focused role. She has also clerked for Judge Irma Carrillo of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Lynn Hughes of the Southern District of Texas, and Chief Justice Nathan Hecht of the Supreme Court of Texas. This background gives Barbara a unique perspective on the appellate process and provides insight drawn from every level of judicial decision-making.
