AUSTIN – The noted Texas appellate firm Alexander Dubose & Jefferson LLP (ADJ) is pleased to announce the addition of Becky Gonzalez-Rivas to the firm’s Austin office.
Ms. Gonzalez-Rivas is a former law clerk to Judge M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Patti B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
“Becky is an exceptionally talented young attorney with a deep understanding of the appellate and trial process that can only be earned from inside the court system,” said ADJ managing partner Marcy Hogan Greer. “Her insights will be of great benefit to our clients.”
Before joining ADJ, Ms. Gonzalez-Rivas was an associate at an international law firm, where she focused on complex commercial litigation and worked on critical motions in state and federal courts. She also kept an active pro bono docket, fighting to obtain relief in wrongful conviction and asylum cases.
“The attorneys of Alexander Dubose & Jefferson are proven leaders in the Texas appellate space, and I am looking forward to joining them,” said Ms. Gonzalez-Rivas.
Ms. Gonzalez-Rivas is a graduate of Harvard College and The University of Chicago Law School, where she was a David M. Rubenstein Scholar. She also served as the executive topics and comments editor of The University of Chicago Law Review.
